That, I always thought (and still think) is the best piece of real estate at the Spa. Now it's overrun with pinheads and nimrods more interested in brews than horses and who make it impossible to get around. I'd like to see something done regarding getting more picnic space and making it a bit less crowded, but I suppose my dream of reclaiming that area is gone. Downstate may not be as glamorous, but it's all about the racing. The real challenge would be to make Belmont/Long Island a thoroughbred center, which, in my opinion, would be more appropriate.
