You might want to follow it. In addition to Jeff Mullins not being paid his share of the purse money by IEAH for I Want Revenge's Wood Memorial win, it is rumored that IEAH owes various horsemen $500,000. Ray Paulick is tracking it.

http://www.paulickreport.com/blog/category/ieah/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-88632753621014953342009-08-20T20:44:58.818-04:002009-08-20T20:44:58.818-04:00Maybe Wynn is just trying to win the Aqueduct nod,...Maybe Wynn is just trying to win the Aqueduct nod, then never find a way to be compliant with the preexisting building and environmental permit requirements, and ultimately not be able to build at Aqueduct, then have the state by the you know what, in order to negotiate a best case deal for Belmont Park, where he and the original Excelsior Racing team wanted to make "magic" per Richard Fields, Bill Mulrow and the Dali Lama in the first place? Just research how many times Wynn has changed his story and how many teams Wynn has been on since 2005 to understand the concerns I put forth. What scares me for racing and breeding in NY is that the NYRA has accepted and endorsed him. I wonder at what level of management or trustee that connection has been made?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-48033707037604866622009-08-20T20:30:58.583-04:002009-08-20T20:30:58.583-04:00So the Vegas/Macau fellow Wynn thinks he's a w...So the Vegas/Macau fellow Wynn thinks he's a winner: http://www.queenstribune.com/news/1250798405.html

Wynn doesn't even like slot/VLT machines. Per Hotels Magazine in September 2003, "The people coming here don't give a hoot about slot machines until they get here," says Wynn. "They are in every state today and are now commodities." So prey tell, why does Mr Wynn promote himself as the right guy for the Aqueduct job?

Wynn's pal and "deal maker" Skip Bronson is on record from Wynn's last attempt as saying "They have got to pick someone and negotiate a deal. The tax structure is so restrictive it defeats the purpose. That's why we are the only real gaming company that is making a proposal."

This whole proposal from Wynn at Aqueduct makes no sense based on his historic "modus operandi."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-79860528780333066092009-08-20T17:52:15.317-04:002009-08-20T17:52:15.317-04:00Zip Quik went off @ 7/2 and ran second.Zip Quik went off @ 7/2 and ran second.DiscreetPicksnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-5449912883981330772009-08-20T17:21:19.240-04:002009-08-20T17:21:19.240-04:00http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/200...http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2009/08/the-ties-that-bind-in-aqueduct.html

Elizabeth Benjamin follows Alan's lead from last weeks blog on "ties" of players in the Aqueduct award.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-5781474272099065942009-08-20T16:52:38.711-04:002009-08-20T16:52:38.711-04:00Saratoga - Race 9

We backed him in the Hollywood Juvenile last time out, and he ran quite well, but was really up against it from a pace standpoint as the exceptionally quick filly Necessary Evil was able to jump out on an uncontested lead, and had plenty of gas left in the tank for the final furlong. Zip Quik came running at her late though, and note that he turned the tables on stakes winner Classical Slew in the process. Picks up first-time Lasix here and gets an extra half-furlong to work with, but more importantly he looks to be the beneficiary of a hot pace this time. If he takes to the dirt here (and Biancone must think he will, or he wouldn't have shipped him to New York), then he should be pretty tough to deny in the lane. Worth mentioning that Biancone scored a big win a couple of years ago with a filly named Irish Smoke who shipped into Saratoga for the Grade 1 Spinaway, with today's rider Leparoux aboard.DiscreetPicksnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-4354382370491561722009-08-20T12:14:51.673-04:002009-08-20T12:14:51.673-04:00While we stew and wait for an Aqueduct decision, ...While we stew and wait for an Aqueduct decision, things keep happening in the Catskills.

The new $55 million of Malaysian money at Monticello planing to do something with the with the Mohawks, (what does this do for the plans to move Monticello raceway to the Concord hotel site?) a newly revised incentive (only a 25% slots tax!)to Louis Cappelli if he gets going and creates a minimum number of jobs within a certain timeframe, the Seneca's partnered with some Michigan based mystery group called "Rotate Black," Delaware North at Monticello is recently signed up as marketing and strategy consultants, and what about Donald Trump, who as recently as 2008, was trying to establish himself with Cappelli at the Concord site?

You think the "Big A" deal is complicated!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-8510973971038875822009-08-20T09:15:59.617-04:002009-08-20T09:15:59.617-04:00DelNorth has Sheldon Silver in its pocket thanks t...DelNorth has Sheldon Silver in its pocket thanks to the efforts of Patricia Lynch and some others. If they win, don't bet on much at Aqueduct other than a lesser version of what's down the road at Yonkers.
