Lukas has won more triple crown races and breeders cup races for a reason! If he is a derby horse we will know after the Arkansas derby if not I still would leave him off my Preakness tickets, remeber Charasmatic, Commendable, and Cat Thief in the Classic all over 20-1?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-19640198256776675272007-03-19T22:40:00.000-04:002007-03-19T22:40:00.000-04:00If he makes it that far. The few trainers I know say Lukas runs horses until they break. Poor First Class Flying. The proper spot for him is a six furlong 1x allowance. Instead he will finish out of the money at about 8-1 in the Arkansas Derby and probably get trounced again in the Preakness when he can't get into the derby. At that point he'll either have to be retired due to injury or out for a year. I'll bet Prado doesn't show up again on him @ Oaklawn.Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17542769445644908386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-83571715553040015922007-03-19T12:31:00.000-04:002007-03-19T12:31:00.000-04:00AJ - Nothing yet. For all the lack of focus on Cobalt Blue's race - he did get the distance quicker than Great Hunter did earlier in the meet - and he's considered one of the Derby favorites.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8711985.post-81841600090304196882007-03-19T12:01:00.000-04:002007-03-19T12:01:00.000-04:00Poor FLYING FIRST CLASS. After he finishes 15th in the Arkansas Derby, expect him to be pointed to Louisville, where he'll finish 29th at odds of 19-1. Then the next logical step? The Preakness of course!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
