- Well, at least Magna Graduate didn't win. Wire to wire for Temporary Saint - 23.32, 48.43, 1.13.66, 1.38.13 and 1.51.13. Pretty even pace. I got shut out at Keeneland because I was watching this race, and good thing, as National Captain couldn't get closer than third. There's that Graham Motion again; 18-1 on Salinja. He's a trainer who I talk about a lot, and miss most of his bigger scores. Exciting finish as he outgamed Frankel's favored Chattahoochee War.
I looked at those quotes again, and they're not really worth be retyping here; you can read them in several papers and websites tomorrow. Basically, Toby Sheets said that J Be K is a sprinter or one-turn miler, and I guess we could have figured that out for ourselves.
- They gave out a couple of quotes from the Bay Shore, and this might be the first time they're seen online anywhere in the universe. Toby Sheet, an Asmussen assistant, said:.....
Wait, the Excelsior is going off. Evening Attire left at the gate....
- Magna Graduate is 3-1. Guess it's the class of the field thing. Wafi City is a bit dull at 9-2; he was 3-1 morning line. Meanwhile, I like National Captain at Keeneland. Got cooked on the lead in his last, and there's speed here too; but he doesn't have to be on the lead.
- I don't care for Magna Graduate here.....so be sure to include him in all of your bets. The Toddster takes the blinkers off after a distant 5th in the NO Handicap. Nite Light, also from the Pletcher barn, is the 5-2 choice. Not thrilled with the race, so I'm going to pass and go back to this Keeneland race.
- Take a look at the 8th at Keeneland, a stakes quality allowance race.
- Nuthin doing there. Laysh Laysh Laysh had nothing, and J Be K was content to sit off the lead. Couldn't have been more wrong here. The winner was bet down to 3-2 for Asmussen.
Still can't watch the other tracks here. Bill Finley changed the channel on one of them, but now it's back to the Big A. I saw that Gloriously won the 7th at Keeneland, successfully stepping up to winners, and getting pounded on the board to 2-1. She was being eased by Kent D. at the wire after successfully holding off second choice BR's Girl, and she's now two-for-two for Mark Casse.
