Off the Turf

- Highland Cat will race in the mud today. Unless the track dries out by then, as the rain appears to have stopped. Looking at this as a dirt race, whatever the condition, there are horses that simply look faster than he. In particular, there's Mudesh, who has shown good speed against better and drops slightly here. Garrett Gomez will stick around to pick up the mount on the Main Track Only Rappers Deelite for Linda Rice. He was just a neck behind Mudesh last time, and sports a Tomlinson of 400. No Called Strikes takes a healthy drop for Richard Violette. It seems like Highland Cat is in tough once again; unless the track is still wet enough to somehow benefit him. I get the feeling we'll still be anxiously looking forward to his grass debut once this one is over.

Hey Alan, Simon Bray on TVG remarked what a striking appearence your horse made in the post parade. Kudos to your trainer for the horse looking in good shape, I figure if he is sound now in the hocks, he doesnt have to improve much to be competitive here...hope you get a nice check today!!! Nick

Well that just about wraps up this guys career....now we have to wait another 2-3 weeks so Turner can try the turf.

We're just re-arranging the deck cjairs on the Titantic with this horse. We've got to get Steve to ship or drop to 15,000 claimers...
