Hunch Bets for Thursday, June 5

True Bliss 2nd at Belmont
Disconsolate 3rd at Arlington
Wonder No More 5th at Lone Star
Used To Be A King 3rd at Penn National
It's Mine All Mine 3rd at Calder
Token Of Love 1st at Belmont
Falsified 7th at Golden Gate
Slim And None 9th at Monmouth
Embellish 8th at Woodbine
Fight On 2nd at Hollywood

- Just Zip It didn't really look out of place at all in open allowance company, finishing a clear third-best in the 8th at Belmont on Wednesday. She was three wide for the entire turn, not a winning formula at the big track, and still finished with much interest to earn a purse share of $5900.

Xtra heat on Saturday:
They are now predicting 96-97 degree high on Saturday.
Could that have an effect on a mile and a half race?

Alan congtrats on Zip taking a solid 3rd on the less then perfect track. TVG of course couldn't be bothered to show the post parade or the race live. HRTV did however along with the tie in with Billy Turner the TC and now being the trainer of your gal.

Did anyone else see that Hooters is taking over the sponsorship of Kent/Big Brown with the jockey pant logo? I cited before that with the woes of IEAH, that UPS backed off significantly their association with the tained effort.

That allowed for Hooter to step in. Yep I know their wings are good - but if there was any way to further make that whole group more 'ick' this did it IMHO.

NY Daily News "Hooters jumps aboard Big Brown with sponsorship deal"

It does racing - on such a big day and the cusp of history - no favors.

Well, a couple of commenters yesterday did want to see boobies! So there you go!

But seriously, you'd think that there might be some effort to make this group seem more wholesome instead of even sleazier. How about an announcement that part of the sponsorship proceeds will go to feed starving children or something else worthwhile? Like the Obama campaign? :-)

Forget about the jacket on Saturday Alan. Lower 90's for a high on Saturday, YIKES!
