Generally, horses running at bigger tracks are considered more valuable than their counterparts at smaller venues. For example, a horse competing for an $8,000 purse at Roosevelt Raceway in New York probably has the advantage over a standardbred pacing for a $5,000 purse at Freehold Raceway in central New Jersey.Anyone who runs across a horse that's been running at Roosevelt Raceway is advised to proceed with extreme caution. The track closed its doors in 1988.
