- The Form reports that Stevie Wonderboy has been taken out of training with a minor injury; he's recorded just one timed workout thus far. Doug O'Neill said that the horse would not be sidelined for long. It's a familiar and oft-repeated story in our game these days, and it often leads to the announcement that the horse has been retired. As the dynamic winner of the BC Juvenile and an Eclipse award, Stevie has plenty of credentials to start a stallion career at a healthy fee. Plus he hails from the emerging empire of AP Indy, and has inbreeding to that stallion's dam Weekend Surprise, so I imagine that he will present some intriguing possibilities to some broodmare owners when he goes to stud. And that could be sooner than later.
