And what does this mean to the still unfinished franchise deal? We still have NYRA bankruptcy to be settled, the VLT award, and the title transfer. Is Gov Paterson going to finish the deal that is substantially in place? Joe Bruno sounded like it will be not only a breath of fresh air in Albany but a virtual lovefest with David Paterson....NY racing fans can only hope, eh?!
I heard David Patterson speak in Buffalo last year, and although he didnt mention anything about NYRA, he is a very smart and well-spoken man, who should lead New York in the direction that it needs to go.
Patterson had better hire a food taster. If he goes down, Bruno becomes the next Gov.
I guess this means no free Spa tix for Eliot this August. Unless there is a Club Fed bus that travels up to Saratoga.
Although 'Due Process Stable' Robert Brennan, still spending time at the Federal pen at Fort Dix, doesn't appear to enjoy that kind of day trip.
While not a pushover I think Patterson should pick his battles - something lost on Spitzer - and conclude the NYRA final elements within the legislature (with his admins full support) as soon as possible.
To Glimmerglass:
At least Peter Brant is out of jail :)
Eliot Spitzer is a complete disgrace. He should have been disbarred for his unethical behavior as the sheriff of wallstreet.....Thank god this lunitic is gone.....a good effin pair, Spitzer and Hevesi!!!

And Peter landed a supermodel for a wife too who most certainly is seven diamonds ....
Well we all knew it was only a matter of time before her my space photos made it into the NY Post...
